Flying V Theatre started rehearsal for their next mainstage show of the season today. We are  excited to officially announce the cast for LOBSTER ALICE this fall – written by Kira Obolensky and directed by Amber Jackson!

D. Corey

Daniel Corey, Finch

Daniel Corey is excited to join Flying V for the first time! He has performed locally with Rorschach Theatre (Company Member), Constellation Theatre, Longacre Lea, 1st Stage, Hub Theatre, No Rules Theatre Company, NextStop Theatre Company, WSC Avant Bard, The American Century Theater, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, The Source Festival, Impossible Theatre Company, and Quotidian Theatre Company. Daniel has an MA in Theatre Education from The Catholic University of America, and will appear next in One Man, Two Guv’nors at 1st Stage in Tyson’s Corner this November.

J. Donovan
Jenny Donovan, Alice

Jenny Donovan is excited to be doing her first production with Flying V after performing in their staged reading of William Shakespeare’s Star Wars! NATIONAL: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena), The National Players. REGIONAL: The Tempest (Miranda), Annapolis Shakespeare Company; Comedy of Errors (Luciana), Lean & Hungry Theatre; In The Forest, She Grew Fangs (Jenny), Washington Rogues; The Birds (Julia), Quotidian Theatre; A Maze (Jessica), Rorschach Theatre; Witness for the Prosecution (The Other Woman), Olney Theatre Center; The Graduate (Elaine Robinson), Keegan Theatre. Z. Fernebok
Zachary Fernebok*, Dali

Zachary Fernebok is an actor, playwright, and Flying V company member. With Flying V, he has been in Science Fiction Double Feature, Tough!, and Staring at the Sun. His comedy The Pirate Laureate of Port Town was produced with FV in February 2013. Along with FV, his plays have been produced or developed at the American Ensemble Theatre, The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, Infinite Stage, Mutineer Theatre Company, The National Portrait Gallery, and The Kennedy Center’s Page-to-Stage Festival. He served twice as Playwright in Residence at American Ensemble Theatre, and is a member of Crash of Rhinos. His sequel The Pirate Laureate and the King of the Sea will be premiering in February 2015.

R. Jones
Ryan Alan Jones, Thorton/Caterpillar

Ryan Alan Jones is an artist-adventurer living and working in the DC-community. And he loves it. Since moving here in the Fall of 2012, he has had the distinct pleasure of working with a number of companies about town, but this is his first show with Flying V! He is very excited to make his debut in Kira Obolensky’s Lobster Alice. Before moving to DC, Ryan received his training in the BFA Acting program at Cal State Fullerton, where he studied a mysterious and diabolical variety of physical and psychological techniques for use on the stage. He has employed his skills in such roles as Candide in Optimism! or Voltaire’s Candide at Spooky Action Theatre, Melchior in Spring Awakening at Kensington Arts Theatre, and most recently as Milo in the devised physical play Dream Love with Avalanche Theatre Co. at Capital Fringe Festival 2014.
